________________________________

The Standard session of acupuncture-dry needling or laser therapy (laser acupuncture) treatment is much more than the procedure of inserting needles or applying laser to points or areas on the body.  Our clinic's treatment sessions are significantly more extensive, thorough and much more effective than any other clinic of its kind in the region.

A treatment is a comprehensive and  holistic clinical hour therapy session that may include:
  • needle therapy or laser therapy instead of needles
  • electro-stim: electro-acupuncture*
  • moxibustion / infrared heat therapy*
  • fire cupping*
  • gua sha*
  • auricular (ear reflex) therapy
  • topical Chinese herbal applications*
  • acupressure, tui na or naprapathy*
  • herbal and nutritional formula prescription
  • dietary and nutritional therapy*
  • lifestyle counseling*
  • instruction in exercises to support healing
*Therapies used when appropriate to care. Your doctor will work with you to determine the recommended length and frequency of visits.

Payment
Payment must be made at the time of services are rendered. We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express (there is a $5 fee for processing credit card payments). An insurance coded super bill record of payment can be provided for you to use for reimbursement from your third party (insurance company, car accident, on the work injury case,  legal settlement, trust fund, health savings account, etc.).

Flex Plans
Acupuncture is a covered medical expense under many Flex Plans.  Additionally, some plans may reimburse you for the cost of Chinese herbal medicine if using the on-line prescription service from our clinic.  Please check with your Flex Plan administrator to make sure that your particular plan covers acupuncture treatments and/or the cost of Chinese herbal medicine. These plans usually give you a Visa or Master Card Logo card for these medical expenses. They require a copy of your super-bill as verification of your service; just remind our staff that you need a copy for this reason.

Tax Deductions
The costs of acupuncture and herbal medicines are generally considered deductible as medical expenses. Which is usually medical expenses exceeding 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. For further information please consult your tax advisor and/or refer to IRS Publication 502 for more details.

Insurance
Few health insurance companies in the region currently cover acupuncture and herbal therapies.  However, some companies offer varying levels of coverage.  Medicaid and Medicare do not provide coverage.  As more and more insurance companies begin to understand the therapeutic benefit and long term cost savings of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, insurance coverage will be expanded.  It is always best to check with your health insurance company first in order to see if you have eligibility and coverage for our services.

Our clinic, at this time, does not submit (or bill) claims to insurance companiesBut if your insurance company will reimburse you for part or all of your treatment, our office will provide the necessary legal documentation (i.e. Super-bill, copy of your treatment notes, etc.) in order for you to obtain reimbursement from your health insurance company.   We will always do our best to serve your needs.

Gift Certificates
Do you know someone that might be interested in our services?  A gift certificate is a great way to introduce them to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
